The toothing integrated in the outer race cup allows the grooved shaft to be completely eliminated, thus reducing weight as well as overall dimensions.
Drive torque transmission is guaranteed by the front coupling in the cup, not by the shaft, so this joint is very robust. In fact, the absence of any significant section variation at the interface with the hub means that one of the most strained components in the tourque transmission chain can be eliminated.
Metelli Group has invested in the cold moulding process, thanks to which the toothing obtained by plastic deformation guarantees optimum drive torque transmission resistance, like the original.
