Our commitment to sustainability. Growing responsibly, together

We at Metelli S.p.A. believe that true industrial progress is one that takes into account people, the environment and transparency. For this reason, for us sustainability is not an isolated objective but a guiding principle that steers our choices. It is a responsibility we feel towards future generations and a value that is reflected in our strategic vision, our day-to-day activities and in the way we relate to the territory and our stakeholders.

In recent years we have embarked on a structured path to integrate ESG – Environmental, Social and Governance – criteria into our organisation. This process translates into concrete actions and measurable results. We have invested in renewable energy, installing photovoltaic systems that allow us to produce part of the electricity necessary for our activities in-house. We have optimised our energy consumption in the main production plants, obtaining a significant reduction in the electricity and gas used.

These interventions have allowed us to significantly reduce our carbon footprint: direct and indirect emissions are falling, thanks to a more efficient use of resources and a careful approach to sustainable innovation. At the same time, we have adopted a waste management system that support recovery while minimising disposal, water saving initiatives are leading to an increasingly conscious use of water in our production processes. But for us, sustainability lies not only in the environmental dimension. People are also at the heart of our commitment. We believe in lifelong learning, the development of individual potential and the construction of an inclusive, safe and stimulating work environment. Over the last year, we have devoted thousands of hours to the professional growth of our employees, accompanying this investment with projects aimed at enhancing diversity and strengthening the sense of belonging.

Ties with the local community are also an essential element of our sustainable approach. We have always supported social, cultural and sports projects that promote positive values, especially among the young generations, aware that the future is built together.
